TAGUS SEA CLUB

TAGUS SEA CLUB, the new club of TAGUS Group, located on AVAPARK island, is now Non-officially open ;). You can teleport and party there before the great opening, and all suggestions and tips are appreciated!

On TAGUS SEA CLUB, like on TAGUS RIVER CLUB, you can party at the dance, chat and drink at the bar, but you also have lots of funny things (and some great surprises) to do and see on our beautiful japanese garden ;)..always with the best of relaxing and chill music...

That is the place where the AQUAPHOTO CONTEST will be displayed to your vote. Take your your time to check the all the photos and vote!

Queria aproveitar para agradecer a todos aqueles que lá têm passado e contribuido com as suas opiniões!

Queria aproveitar também para dar os parabéns ao magnífico Vlad (Vladmiro Renoir, autor do nosso lindo logo do Sea Club) e ao Tozé (Toze Barbosa) pela "grandiosidade" da Ilha e do seu trabalho, e pelo caloroso acolhimento que todos temos tido lá dentro! Espero que a inauguração seja em grande e para breve!

TAGUS is more than a club on SL. Is a group of friends.

Nowadays this group has two spaces to chat, dance and relax.
To shop and do bussiness. To cuddle and have privacy with your soulmate. Just teleport there and check it ;)

Opened 24H a day, for your enjoyment. You can come anytime, day or night, bring some friends and make your own party!

TAGUS CLUBS HISTORY

TAGUS RIVER CLUB opened on Lynnwood in June 2007.

On November 2007, opened TAGUS SEA CLUB at AVAPARK island, with a beautiful japanese garden with cuddle and surprises.

A Brand new TAGUS BEACH CLUB also opened January at Portucalis II, with sea front, cuddle and spa.

January 2008 was also time to remoddeling: TAGUS RIVER was closed on Lynwood and moved to Kinto Imperio Sim.
Opening was on February 2008, but it had to be closed weeks later due to sim ownership change. From TAGUS RIVER remains the memories on thoughts and photos of the both clubs, till it will re-open one day.

TAGUS was founded by Afrodite Ewry, and a few months ago, its ownership belong also to PedroFerreira Petrov.

WHY TAGUS?

Tagus (Latin Tagus, Portuguese Tejo, Spanish Tajo - cliff) is the longest river on the Iberian Peninsula.

It measures 1,038 kilometers in length, 716 km of which are in Spain, 47 km as border between Portugal and Spain and the remaining 275 km in Portugal. It drains an area of 80,100 km² (the second largest in the Iberian peninsula after the Douro).

It follows a very constricted course for much of its length, but after Almourol it enters a vast alluvian valley prone to flooding.The source of the Tagus is the Fuente de García, in the Albarracín mountains.

It ends in the Atlantic Ocean by Lisbon in a wide inverted estuary. The largest bridge across the river is the Vasco da Gama Bridge (in Lisbon, Portugal) with a total length of 17.2 km. It is also the largest bridge in Europe.

The Pepper Wreck is the name of a shipwreck located and excavated at the mouth of the Tagus River between 1996 and 2001.The main cities it passes through are Aranjuez, Toledo and Talavera de la Reina in Spain, and Santarém and Lisbon in Portugal.

The Portuguese regions of Alentejo and Ribatejo take their names from the river. Alentejo, from Além-Tejo (beyond the Tagus), and Ribatejo, from Arriba-Tejo (on the banks of the Tagus). There is a transvasement between the Tagus and the Segura River.

SABIAS QUE...

Do Tejo partiram as naus e as caravelas dos descobrimentos portugueses e também a onda que assolou Lisboa em 1755, após o terramoto de 1755.

Em Lisboa o rio Tejo é atravessado por duas pontes. A mais antiga é a Ponte Salazar, que após a Revolução dos Cravos mudou de nome para Ponte 25 de Abril (inaugurada em 1966), uma das maiores pontes supensas da Europa, e que liga a capital de Portugal a Almada. A outra é a Ponte Vasco da Gama, de cerca de 17 km de comprimento. Foi inaugurada em 1998 e liga Lisboa (Sacavém) a Alcochete e Montijo. O local mais largo deste rio chama-se Mar da Palha e fica junto a Lisboa e Almada, entre as duas pontes.

Todos os anos no porto de Lisboa, atracam centenas de paquetes de luxo, principalmente na doca de Alcântara.

AS TÁGIDES DO TAGUS

As Tágides são as ninfas do rio Tejo a quem Camões pede inspiração para compor a sua obra Os Lusíadas.

São uma adaptação das nereidas da mitologia greco-romana, as ninfas que vivem nos mares e nos rios. Estas habitam no rio que desagua em Lisboa, Portugal.

No seu poema épico 'Os Lusíadas, Camões roga-lhes que, como musas, o inspirem e que o ajudem a cantar os feitos do povo português. Podemos observá-lo no Canto I, nas estrofes apelidadas de Invocação.
